When I ran tcptrace 6.6.0 under XP SP2, I get

"3 [main] ? 3852 init_cheap: Couldn't reserve 3600084 bytes of space for cygwin's heap, Win32 error 487 ...".

I downloaded the latest cygwin from www.cygwin.com and reinstalled it. CYGWIN itself seems to run fine so I think the problem is with tcptrace 6.6.0. This problem was reported by someone else in October and the recommendation at the time was to reinstall cygwin which I did.
