    Folks-

I was just paging through the long listing of a trace I took
    yesterday and found this:

max win adv: 66608 bytes max win adv: 65535 bytes
min win adv: 65535 bytes min win adv: 65528 bytes
zero win adv: 0 times zero win adv: 0 times
avg win adv: 82990 bytes avg win adv: 65529 bytes

Unless tcptrace has defined some new sort of network calculas I
think an average should not be > the max advertised window. ;)

I left a trce containing the problem connection at:
        masaka:~mallman/bad-avg-adv-win.dmp

I'm using the tcptrace from the freebsd package:

    Version: Ostermann's tcptrace -- version 6.0.0b2 -- Wed Jun 6, 2001
Compiled by 'root' at 'Fri Dec 21 05:55:32 GMT 2001' on machine 'gohan14.FreeBSD.org'

    And, the host information:

    % uname -a
    FreeBSD guns.lerc.nasa.gov 4.5-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.5-RELEASE #0: Mon Apr 8 12:19:55 EDT 2002 mallman@guns.lerc.nasa.gov:/usr/src/sys/compile/MALLMAN i386

    Enjoy!
