I'm trying to run tcptrace against some iperf flows in order to
understand performance issues we're seeing. For some reason,
tcptrace is reporting the data flow as two separate unidirectional
streams:
patanjali [booloo]> tcptrace ucla
1 arg remaining, starting with 'ucla'
Ostermann's tcptrace -- version 6.6.1 -- Wed Nov 19, 2003

TCP connection info:
1: bbbb.ucsc.edu:55705 - 169.232.1.1:4823 (a2b) 12> 11< (complete)
2: bbbb.ucsc.edu:57069 - 169.232.1.1:32778 (c2d) 10> 11< (complete)
3: bbbb.ucsc.edu:5003 - 169.232.1.1:5003 (e2f) 19025> 0< (unidirectional)
4: 169.232.1.1:5003 - bbbb.ucsc.edu:5003 (g2h) 9391> 0< (unidirectional)
Does this have something to do with the source and dest ports having the
same value? Any hints appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
mb
