Today I found a useful utility which helps with this, take a look at:

        http://www-didc.lbl.gov/SCNM/SCNMPlot.html

This allows overlaying of multiple xplot plots (eg. output of multiple
tcptrace runs) and has the ability of offsetting (called nudging in
their program) each plot by any amount on the x and y axis.
