Folks,
I hope this makes it past your spam filters. And if it does, I hope I'm not
being too presumptuous in sending this out. Forgive me if this is misusing
this list, but we do have challenges finding good people.
I work at Bank One in Columbus, Ohio as a performance engineer in our
networking group. Our performance engineering team has an approved opening
for a position. We are looking for people who are network savvy (especially
Cisco stuff), know tcp/ip well, have familiarity with the platforms and
technologies that typically make up enterprise applications, and probably
most importantly, are familiar with network modelling and simulation
techniques. A strong mathematical / statistical background is helpful, as is
some programming capability.
We primarily use OPNET (ITGuru and ACE) for modelling and simulation. We
also have software and equipment from Shunra, Spirent, etc. We're looking
into other tools to enhance our capabilities. Our role is to predictively
analyze applications that are going to roll out into the bank's network
environment and understand capacity and response time implications.
If anyone is looking for this type of position, please respond to me at
"donnie_hale@bankone.com". I'll forward your contact information to the
appropriate people. If you can attach a resume / CV in Word or .pdf format,
that would make things go quicker.
Thanks for bearing with me,
Donnie
